Funchal is a gorgeous town on the Island of Madeira, famous for it's
fortified wine. I had always written the place of as somewhere old people go on
cruise ship holidays. However I found a lively town, lots of young people and
lots of fun to be had. Also the island has a rich history well worth studying if
you get the chance to visit.
